FAQ - Performance

Below, we have gathered common questions regarding CO2 cleaning.

How is the cleaning performance of CO2?
According to tests run by us, the cleaning performance of CO2 with detergents is equivalent to the cleaning performance of hydrocarbon with detergents. CO2's super-low viscosity offers unrivalled penetration of all sorts of materials.

What advantages are there with CO2 dry-cleaning, when compared with traditional dry-cleaning processes?
Tests indicate that the CO2 method produces less greying and color bleeding than traditional processes. It also removes pigments, soiling and body odor more efficiently. These excellent cleaning properties allow faster cleaning cycles, not least due to the instant drying procedure. The solvent used, liquid CO2, does not result in any hazardous waste. Unless hazardous material is introduced from some other source, waste disposal is not necessary. CO2 is a natural by-product of many industrial and natural processes. It is also non-toxic, unless inhaled in high concentration. It is non-flammable, non-ozone depleting or smog producing.

Is the CO2 equipment more complicated than current systems?
No. The CO2 equipment is handled as with any conventional cleaning system. Like any fluid used in dry-cleaning, CO2 must be contained, re-circulated and maintained. The equipment conveniently takes care of each of these tasks.
